Raven Boats — 3-Year Quality Guarantee
At Raven Boats, we design and build inflatable boats for real-world Canadian boating conditions. We stand behind the quality of our construction, our materials, and our workmanship.
The Raven Promise
Raven Boats warrants to the original purchaser that each boat will be free from major defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery.
This warranty reflects our commitment to sound design, careful assembly, and consistent quality control.
What We Cover (Structural Integrity)
This warranty covers the integrity of the vessel’s core construction, including:
Air-Holding Systems
- PVC or Hypalon fabric
- Welded and bonded seams forming the air chambers
Structural Bonding
- Factory adhesion of the transom
- Valve bases
- Key structural reinforcements
Hull Construction
- Overall workmanship and assembly of the boat
If a manufacturing defect is found that affects the structural safety or functional integrity of the boat, Raven Boats will provide an appropriate remedy as outlined below.
What Is Not Covered (The Realities of Boating)
Inflatable boats are performance equipment that require reasonable care. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage caused by use, environment, or external forces.
The following are excluded:
Usage Damage
- Punctures, cuts, or abrasions
- Impact damage
- Damage caused by beaching, dragging, trailering, or accidents
Environmental Exposure
- Fading or material degradation from prolonged UV exposure
- Fuel, oil, or chemical spills
- Improper storage, including storing wet or in extreme heat
Consumables & Wear Items
- Components designed to wear over time, including valve seals, valve caps, and EVA foam flooring
- These items are only covered if an immediate bonding or manufacturing defect is present upon delivery
Improper Inflation
- Damage caused by over-inflation
- Pressure increases caused by ambient temperature changes (thermal expansion)
- Use of a pressure gauge is strongly recommended
Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs
- Any repairs, alterations, or modifications not performed or expressly authorized by Raven Boats
Warranty Resolution Process
If an issue arises, our priority is to assess the situation promptly and help get you back on the water safely.
1. Notification
Email support@ravenboats.ca with:
- Proof of purchase
- Boat serial number
- Clear photos and/or video of the issue
2. Evaluation
Raven Boats will review the claim to determine the cause of the issue. If necessary, we may request a third-party inspection by a qualified inspector selected or approved by Raven Boats to verify whether a manufacturing defect is present.
Remedies
For valid warranty claims, Raven Boats will, at its discretion, provide one of the following remedies:
- Authorize and cover the reasonable cost of repair performed by a reputable marine or inflatable boat repair facility, subject to prior approval by Raven Boats
- Supply necessary replacement parts for owner-installed or shop-installed repairs
- Replace the product, strictly in cases of non-repairable structural manufacturing defects
Raven Boats does not require boats to be returned for warranty service. Inflatable boats are designed to be serviced locally, and most repairs can be completed efficiently by qualified marine repair shops.
All repairs must be pre-approved by Raven Boats to be eligible for reimbursement. Unauthorized repairs may not be covered.
Note:
Costs associated with shipping, packaging, and third-party inspections are the responsibility of the owner unless otherwise arranged in writing.
